Construction has begun on Perla, a new student housing complex and parking garage developed by Zimmerman, located on Florida State University’s campus along Gaines Street. This seven-story building will offer 220 units with 614 bedrooms and bathrooms, spanning approximately 359,904 square feet. Designed for student life, Perla includes a two-story concrete podium with five stories of wood construction above, housing amenities such as a 23,000-square-foot clubhouse with study rooms, a leasing office, and common areas, as well as 21,200 square feet of retail space for shopping and dining.
Attached to the complex, a seven-level pre-cast parking garage will add 610 parking spaces across 210,696 square feet, providing essential parking solutions for the FSU campus.
