ON-SITE: MELBOURNE

NEW POLICE DEPARTMENT HEADQUARTERS & EOC

 

The City of Melbourne has selected the Hedrick Brothers Construction Space Coast commercial team for the new Joseph Pellicano Law Enforcement Center. Construction is underway on the 14-acre site at 250 West Nasa Boulevard in Melbourne, Florida. The project scope includes a new, ground-up, two-story, tilt-wall 76,390 SF building which will be the future City of Melbourne’s Police Department Headquarters and Emergency Operations Center. The building will feature community spaces, and site improvements include seating areas for the public.

ON-SITE: TEQUESTA

NEW CLASS A OFFICE BUILDING UNDER CONSTRUCTION

We recently celebrated the groundbreaking of a new Class A office building for the Mastroianni Family Headquarters at 691 N US Highway 1 in Tequesta, Florida. Construction is underway and includes a four-story office building with a subgrade parking garage and private car showroom.

RENOVATIONS FOR TWO RESIDENCES AT NORTH BREAKERS ROW

Summer in Palm Beach is always a busy time for our Luxury Residential Division. One of our teams is currently providing their expertise for a penthouse and a condominium at North Breakers Row in Palm Beach, Florida. The two fast-paced, critical schedule, five-month renovation projects include a custom kitchen, five bathrooms, new flooring, custom bars and skilled millwork, painting and detailed finishing, robust home automation and communication system, audio-video upgrades, and all new electrical and plumbing fixtures. Preconstruction services are key for planning projects during the summer months in Palm Beach and have proven their value in the volatile materials market. Working as a team with the client, architect, and interior designer for planning, scheduling, and material procurement decisions all contribute to ensuring an on-time completion.

ON-SITE: PALM BEACH & MARTIN COUNTIES

PUBLIC & PRIVATE SCHOOL CONSTRUCTION

 

Ester B. O’Keeffe Innovation Center, The King’s Academy

Construction is underway for a new two-story, state-of-the-art Innovation Center building for elementary and secondary students at The King’s Academy at 8401 Belvedere Road in West Palm Beach. The educational spaces will feature STEM and Art/World Language classrooms, high-powered computer labs, the Film Studio with an LED virtual wall that will span floor to ceiling, and soundproof editing and recording suites. Lake Worth High School, School District of Palm Beach County

Facility renovations and repairs are underway throughout the Lake Worth High School campus at 1701 Lake Worth Rd in Lake Worth, and are related to maintenance, ADA compliance, and CSIIR Compliance. The project scope includes replacement of HVAC equipment, flooring, doors, windows, and classroom lighting; restroom renovations including plumbing, tile, and finishes; new fire alarm systems; and repair of paving in parking and roadway areas. Stuart Middle School, Martin County School District

New construction and campus site improvements at Stuart Middle School at 575 SE Georgia Ave in Stuart are underway.  The project includes the demolition of the existing administration building and construction of a new two-story administration/media center and central energy plant. Site improvements include a new ball field, two basketball courts, an expanded parking area, and bus loop. Architect: Harvard Jolly Architecture, West Palm Beach, FL.


Wynnebrook Elementary School, School District of Palm Beach County

Preconstruction services for the modernization of Wynnebrook Elementary School at 1167 Drexel Road in West Palm Beach are underway, with construction anticipated to begin in June 2023. Project scope includes the demolition of an original 1966 building and the new construction of a two-story classroom building, cafeteria/kitchen and stage, three playgrounds, PE shelter and play courts; the renovation of an existing building for administration, art, music, aftercare, media center and teacher planning; and new infrastructure, utilities, parking, and chiller plant. COMMUNITY

XCEL STRATEGIES VCD PROGRAM 

The HB Team is honored to be a community partner for the South Florida Chapter of Xcel Strategies, a soft skills, job skills, and trade skills mentoring group for young men and women between the ages of 15-25. The first Xcel Virtual Design Construction (VDC) Mobile Training Unit was unveiled at a ribbon cutting event at our West Palm Beach office. The Mobile Training Unit was designed by HB’s Director of VDC, Butch Carmichael, who is also a program mentor, and features a job skills concept that provides hands-on training in VDC.
