Hedrick Brothers Celebrates Successful Groundbreaking Ceremony for YMCA of the Palm Beaches

The YMCA of the Palm Beaches has partnered with Palm Beach County to relocate and expand its flagship branch.

The YMCA of the Palm Beaches, Palm Beach County, Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department, Hedrick Brothers Construction, Gro Development Harvard Jolly Architecture, and Team Pain Skate Parks celebrated the groundbreaking of the new YMCA Community Center at Lake Lytal Park.

The two-phase construction plan includes a 55,000 SF Community Center, Olympic-style Skate Park Gymnatorium, and The Y Preschool Academy, all of which will serve four times more members of our community than the Y’s previous facility (approximately 18,000). A hallmark feature of the new YMCA Community Center will be its Youth Engagement and Resource Center. The Center will focus wholly on mentoring young people between 12 and 22 in this underserved population in Palm Beach County, and the Y will have the amenities and programs to attract these teens.
