Overview
The most talented craftsmen and skilled tradesmen meticulously restored this historic 1929 landmarked home originally designed by Maurice Fatio, one of the most influential "society" architects of his day. Three years of selective demolition, restoration, alterations and additions returned this Palm Beach estate to its original elegance and updated it for 21st century living. The 15th century Italian ceilings imported by the first owner were painstakingly repaired to museum quality standards. Most of the original artwork in the home was also carefully preserved and rejuvenated, and more than 24,000 square feet of new construction was completed. The additions were to the main house, a staff wing, a guest/boat house, and a beach house. Hedrick Brothers Construction also completed extensive site development of the six-acre property that stretches from the Intracoastal Waterway to the Atlantic Ocean. The sitework included renovation of original stonework, landscaping, pools, fountains, waterfalls, decks, sea wall, lake wall, and the tunnel that offers private pedestrian access under the road.
