West Palm Beach, FL (September 20, 2021)… The Martin County Board of County Commissioners has awarded a contract to Hedrick Brothers Construction to provide general contracting services for a new fire rescue station and site improvements at 1995 NW Britt Road, Stuart, FL 33499. Construction is underway and the 12,389 sq. ft. one-story building will include an apparatus bay, decontamination room, bunker gear room, kitchen, 10 dorm rooms, IT room and watch room. Site improvements include a new storm water control system, sanitary lift station, generator, propane tank, communications tower, and heavy-duty concrete driveways and parking. The project team includes Bowman Consulting, Stuart, FL, and CPZ Architects, Plantation, FL.
